Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. They were raised in the metropolitan areas of Houston. Simone started to develop an interest in gymnastics as a six-year-old on a field trip to school to Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach over the following 11 years. Biles was a winner in the floor and vault exercises at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the top competition levels in the year 2011. Biles was a dominant athlete within a mere two years. Biles was notable because of her unstoppable performance exuberant attitude and the level of effort she introduced in each event--vault, uneven bars, balance beam and ground exercise.
