Kelly Clarkson was an American musician and singer who became the America's sweetheart when she took home American Idol in the first series. The singer was not just ushered into stardom by her win and announcing the contract for several albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records. In the years since, she's made several studio albums, including three which topped the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just did not make it to the top. She has been one of America's top performers. She was a bit flimsy as she found success with diverse musical and theme styles, often writing the songs herself. In recognition of her talent and distinctiveness, she's been rewarded with a variety of accolades as well as awards. Most notably she has won the Grammy Award three times. In addition to her work in music, she's also been featured on film and television. River Rose and the Magical Lullaby is her children's book. In addition, she was engaged in charitable activities and various other organizations.
