Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He was a member of One Direction. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1 1994. He is the father of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where together with his three classmates He formed his own group, White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they took home the trophy. Even though he had always had an interest in the music world, despite his passion in it, he also wanted to be a lawyer or an physiotherapist. He was employed in an area bakery on a part-time basis to support his family financially. Harry Styles, in 2010, auditioned to be on The X Factor. His single Is not She Lovely was recorded by Stevie Wonder. The group were forced to split. The audition was held on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of a future band that would be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The creation of the group took place in the year 2010, and the five members were funded by Simon Cowell. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart in the competition, which helped them become one of the frontrunners to win the competition. They were however in third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell did not get the win in the contest. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
